• Devise NLP tool for trader and broker, enabling placing order faster (40% compared to without the product) by recognizing elements in speech / text.

• Incorporate the core part written in Python into the micro-service governance system in order to make it easier for the infrastructure team to manage.

Security Engineer @ Tongji University

• Protected university from attacks from external networks, preventing thousands of cyber corruptions daily such as weak password login, phishing in email and so on.

• Developed a system for collecting and processing metrics (100 million per day) from various security facilities plus a dashboard for visualizing the logs and attacks.

• Managed school's academic club (team) Cat Training Force & lead the team to participate and win in multi cybersecurity competitions.

Blockchain Developer @ MIT Media Lab

• Facilitating Smart Contract related technologies in core products.

• Analyzed requirement analysis for lab's projects, also set and enforce technical standards.

• For the specific things I worked on, it was carbon neutrality and carbon credit. We mainly focus on designing a standard to verify the emission reductions results as a third party. To do so, we are trying to use the to create a system that lets every member vote on the verification process.

nemo-bot

A generic bot framework designed by Nemo for the sole purpose of rapid prototyping and easy to use.

• Supports different frontends (mostly Chinese IMs).

• Uses an event-driven fashion and dispatches to a process pool (in order to keep max compatibility with all the scripts. eg., you have a time.sleep).

• Stores config in filesystem as JSON, no need to use a database (but only suitable for lightweight usage like in my scenario).

Discord support and refactoring is in progress.

markdown-server

A single-file, single-threaded HTTP server written in pure C (using POSIX/Winsock sockets) designed to serve Markdown files (.md) from the local filesystem with minimal footprint. It supports two rendering modes configurable via command-line arguments. https://github.com/xiongnemo/markdown-server

Melbourne Tourist Guide

It's a course project of GEOM90007 Information Visualization @ Unimelb CIS, Melbourne, VIC

• Engineered a full-stack tourist guide application using R Shiny and 6+ APIs, serving 1000+ points of interest across Melbourne CBD.

• Implemented real-time data integration from OpenWeather API and Google Maps, achieving 10-minute update intervals for weather forecasts and location services

• Created responsive UI with 30/70 split-panel design, reducing cognitive load through progressive disclosure and improving user navigation by 40%

• Architected modular codebase with separate global, UI, and server components, enabling seamless maintenance across 5 major feature modules

• Integrated multiple data sources through custom ETL pipelines, processing 10,000+ records from City of Melbourne Open Data portal and various APIs

Something on Cybersecurity

I have always been passionate about cybersecurity (information security). My university’s cybersecurity team had, in fact, fallen apart during my freshman year, so a few like-minded individuals and I rebuilt it and took part in (and organized our classmates’ participation in) various competitions.
